Steps To Move the Desktop Folder to Another Drive in Windows 10:

  1. Create a new folder named Desktop at the location (ex: "F:" ) where you want to move your personal Desktop folder.

  2. Open File Explorer (Windows key + E) and Click on This PC from the left pane.
  3. Right click the Desktop folder and select Properties.
  4. In Properties, go to the Location tab, and click on the Move button.
  5. Browse to and select the Desktop folder at the location (ex: "F:\Desktop" ) that you create earlier on E drive, and click on Select Folder.
  6. Click Apply.
  7. Click on Yes to move all the files from the old location to the new location.
  8. Your personal Desktop folder and all of its contents will now be moved to the new location (ex: "F:\Desktop" ).
